This is my lovely friend Brie's daughter June. I was visiting them in New York this August and Brie left me home with her and her sister Pearl while she ran to do an errand. I think it's my first friend who has left me with their children alone...they survived and got some nice pics ; )
Foley, Alabama
Work2 CommentsWork sometimes takes me to places I would never even think to go to on my own, and this time around it was Foley, Alabama. What a little adventure that place is, with so many different areas to explore, the gorgeous beaches, and the southern life is in full swing. One of my favorite parts was the afternoon I spent driving around the back country roads and seeing all of the houses and huge trees shooting some local broll. Something I didn't expect to see was the clash of wealth and tourist money on the coast, while a lot of people are struggling about a 15 minute drive inland. It's a very strange dynamic and since I haven't spent a lot of time in the area I'm not sure if this is left over from the recession. I really enjoyed meeting the locals, and spending a little bit of time in the area, so hopefully the town and the people will flourish in the years to come.

Family, Food, Work1 CommentI've been very busy the last few weeks but wanted to throw up a few iPhone pictures from the summer and my recent travels for work to New England and Arizona, and "training" for our BWCA canoe trip up at the cabin. I will post more from the BWCA with my 5D soon!
Thumbs Cookies
Food1 CommentThumbs Cookies are the delicious collaboration and family recipe of the wonderful Robyn Frank and her family. Robyn's mom used to make cookies for family holidays and when Robyn was living in NYC, she got the idea to make a mini sized version, perfectly called Thumbs. After mastering the traditional flavors, Thumbs popularity and Robyn's creativity has inspired many more flavors and now a Thumb's bar for events. Robyn wanted some pictures of her new Thumb Bar, and some detail shots of those delicious and adorable little cookies. We had a lot of fun setting up this shoot in our friends gorgeous home and even more fun eating the leftovers ; )
